Holy Hell and all the layers thereof. That was utterly amazing.

This is one of those pieces that when you start, you pretty much can't stop. The point of view it's told from is almost lyrical at times, in descriptions of the house, or of the Blacks themselves. There's this eerie, dark undercurrent to it throughout the entire piece that you just know it's being set up for something positively but inevitably wrong. Especially the descriptions of Sirius' awareness of it, and moreso his trying to fight it. The way he describes it as a kind of Blood Song is almost haunting. And the ambiguousness of just what he means aside from darkness is just.. Yes, Definitely haunting. That whole suspense of not knowing it and knowing it's getting stronger as the story progresses it positively mesmerizing

This? Was the best review of my life, and I hope you know that this is completely and totally your fault with that picture of yours and the expression on their faces, and the hair, and the angles and...yeah.

I love darkfic, and this one just sort of, wrote itself in my head and then the whole thing just sort of flowed out really quickly. Do you mind if I cross-post it? Cause this would squick most of the people I really write to, and are pinging currently.

That. Right there. Pretty much made up for the months of agonizing over that pic. This is exactly, exactly what I hoped to draw from it and a hell of a lot more. This is what I could never do or get when I tried to write it.

Hell no. Darkones, Blackcest, Rarepairs, this thing needs to be shared like crazy. This especially is exactly the kind of thing ST needs, for people to see just how amazingly good it can be and the awesome possibilities it presents.

Honestly. I would not complain about a sequel or longfic.

I'm really glad you liked it. I wasn't sure if ity was going to seem to dark or anything to you, because I know that's what my writing style tends to lean towards.

Darkones and Rarepairs I'm in, but I'm not in any blackcest comes--never really looked for any despite my love for anything involving the Black sisters.

See, I'm already thinking about a sequel, but it's so hard to really write longfic with Sirius because of OoTP.
