Halloween party in the City (open - THNMY)

Oct 15, 2009 19:18

There is a glow of orange lights coming from the house of Harley Quinn. Underneath the glow, the dangling skeletons, ghosts and witches welcome Halloween comers to a special costumed party. The hostess is inside, taking care of last minutes snacks and goodies, with April standing guard by the door dressed in her little princess costume ( Read more... )

Tom stands outside Harley's door, waiting for Irma to arrive before knocking. He's dressed as a knight, and doesn't look too thrilled about his costume. His sister might have had something to do with it. He at least took off the fake chainmail headpiece so he doesn't feel quite as stupid as he could. Costumes are not his thing.

Irma arrives, feeling a bit shy and a little awkward, part of it do to being the city, part of it due to her being winged. The wings made it a bit hard for her to find a good costume, but she's pretty happy with the costume she found. The halo went out the window, though.

"Hi, Tom," Irma says, wings readjusting themselves slightly. She gives him a small smile.

Tom turns at the sound of Irma's voice and blinks at her. If she hadn't warned him about the wings, he would have assumed they were an elaborate part of her costume, but seeing how feathered they are, he can't help but be amazed.

The rest of the costume is rather nice, too, especially with her white hair. "Hi, Irma. You look--" stunning --"really nice. That's a nice costume."

They look soft and clean, and not too ruffled. They come down to about her knees. They move every so often, as though they're attempting to keep with balance.

Irma blinks and blushes slightly. "I - Thank you. I figured I might as well get something to... well, fit." She glances over at a wing.

Dr. Schreber and Sarah show up together and it is obvious they have coordinated their costumes. Schreber is the most sheepish cowboy ever and he still has his glasses on, even though the icon doesn't have any. Also he has no idea how ride a horse or 'rope a doggie' or 'chaw tobaccy' but he has watched a couple of cowboy movies so this may be kind of painful for everybody around him if he tries to get into character at all.
But mostly he is just trying not to blush too much over Sarah's costume.

((Sarah will reply later because her player is busy today!))

Sarah, meanwhile, seems to be quite pleased with their coordinating costumes. She's dressed as a saloon girl. Mary might have had some input into her costume choice.

She fusses over Daniel's cowboy hat a little, pretending not to notice his blushing, then knocks on Harley's door. The tray of orange cupcakes does not go with the Wild West theme, but she can't be expected to arrive at a party empty-handed.

After making sure Tom and Irma were comfortable, Harley returned to answer the door. Answering, she grinned big. "Oh my! The calvary is here!"

Schreber is very glad they did not have far to go to get to Harley's house, but Sarah does look good in fishnet stockings.

He blushes and grins when Harley answers the door, and then he tips his hat. "Howdy."

The cab business has been busier lately, with people shopping for costumes, or maybe Rat's just been pushing himself to make up for lost time once he got off the crutches. Either way, he ends up late to a party in the house he now lives in. Oh well.

He returns from work with a brightly colored poncho, his guitar slung around one shoulder, a colorful skull mask, and skeleton gloves. He wouldn't look out of place performing on a street corner in Mexico, today. "Hey, sorry I'm late... I had to run a group of four to a costume party." Four people means three crammed in the back and one riding beside him, but he got a good tip.

The skeleton-Rat gets a welcome hug from Harley. She completely understands his need to make up for lost time, as long as they do not loose time together. "Hey, you are just in time. A lot of others are here."

((Sorry, I really have been insanely busy. And still am. Life sucks.))

He grins and shoves the guitar out of the way and the mask up. Harley gets a good kiss, if a short one. "Hope I didn't miss too much. You look... amazing." He's never seen a pink pirate before, but he can't help hoping he'll get to see her in this costume again, maybe in the bedroom.
"And how's the prettiest princess in the world?" It's hidden by the poncho right now, but he couldn't resist picking up some Halloween candy for April. What's the holiday for if not to put kids on a sugar high?

((No worries. Glad to see you, as always))

If Markus thinks the pink costume is attractive, he will be pleasantly surprised to see the matching undies later.

"Uncle Rat!" April gives Rat a hug. "I am having so much fun!!"
