It was Sarah's idea to meet at the pizzeria uptown. Pizza was still considered an 'ethnic' dish in this whitebread area of town, but it was hard for any City dweller to resist the delicious concept of melted cheese and sauce on a doughy circle ( Read more... )

Melinda shows up, looking kinda good herself. She's wearing clothes that'll make her blend in with the City.

... oh, that pizza smells good.

She spots Sarah and slides into the booth across from her. "Heya. You look great." she says, smiling.

It does smell good, doesn't it? Patrons can even see one of the chefs hand-tossing dough in the back. This place is the real deal. Or as it real as it gets in the City, at any rate.

"Hey. You look nice, too." She smiles, happy to see Mel in a good mood, too. "I finally got rid of that flu LOL." Which only accounts for part of the reason she's practically glowing.

First things first, time to get down to business. "Do you know what'd you like on your pie?"

"Thanks! And glad to hear. How'd you get rid of it?" Mel asks, completely innocent.

"... mmm. Pepperoni, black olives, and mushrooms, if it's not too much, and if you like that stuff. If not, I'll take pepperoni pizza."

Sarah turns the same shade of red as the vinyl booth she's sitting on, and she stammers, "Ah, w-well, I just needed a good night's sleep, oh hey I like those things on a pizza too I'll go order now okay? okay."

She slides out of the booth before Mel can say anything and places her order at the counter. Awkward!
