She had been so pleased, and told him all about the Water Tribe and how her family line had come to live in the San-Sü Islands. She told him so much, in fact, that even though he couldn't bend himself, he swore to keep up the family tradition of healing

Why did you choose Bayani as his name? And - first tattoo? Are there more?

Yeah, I'm sorry, my fingers slipped and I just dropped feels all over everybody. I'd offer to mop them up but more are probably on the way.

At first I wanted to go Water Tribe for his name, because blue eyes and that nursing background I gave him as a joke (ha ha... joke... yeah...). But then I decided because of the escrima he came from a Filipino-esque background and looked up Tagalog names. Bayani means the hero.

OOPS ARE THOSE MORE FEELS I AM SO SORRY.

And yep, there's more tattoos. Don't know what they all are yet or how many.

It's... slightly too obvious. This is a man who takes care that nothing in his apartment connects him to Amon and the Equalists. Maybe he'll get the tattoo with Equality somewhere after, though.

I was hooked on Lieu after episode 7 and SUDDENLY TRAGICS EVERYWHERE

Good point. I wonder if the Equalists have places for people to live on the inside, since they seem to have a pretty big underground base. Some people ditch their civilian IDs to work for the Equalists fulltime in some way? (Maybe! To remember what happened...if he doesn't have scars from Amon tossing him around to be other reminders >.> Unless it's a sign of the good things the Equalists did?)

Man if they had spent HALF the effort on developing Makorra that they did on the Lieutenant and Amon oh wait.

They probably did and do. Amon's gotta stay somewhere, after all. And Sato probably had "business trips" to see Amon. (Oh, he probbaly has some scars. But it will be a reminder of extremism)

I figured that Lieutenant ended up moving in after a while; his job didn't pay much anyway and managing the Equalists kept him pretty busy! Which then adds more to "dedicated my life to you," because he doesn't have a life outside the Equalists - he has nothing to fall back on when they go down, whoops. (and someday he'll tell his daughter about why he and his wife had a heart attack when she started bending...)

See, I can kind of see parts of why Mako got so panicked there, but they overplayed it compared to Bolin. Unless when they were younger Bolin was Mokuba and got kidnapped every other day so he's just kind of numb to it by now.
