I have decided that I need to work with some of my original universes more. So I am going to dabble a bit with my messed up healer-boy, Rafe, and his compatriots. In order to do this, I am going to meme!

Monica had met Corbin a few times and while the boy was certainly odd, she liked him well enough. Afraid that he had been kidnapped, or even killed like his mother, she snuck out of her home and went looking for him.
Whenever she was asked in the future, Monica would never be able to satisfactorily explain just how she had located him so quickly when the local police could not. The police did not like being told that God had led her to him.
In any case, it took the preteen just under an hour to find him, and most of that was walking. He was hidden beneath a bridge crossing a ditch, perched just on the edge of the mud and staring into space.
"Corbin?" she said softly, and his head snapped around to her.
He wasn't crying, but his face was so blank she nearly took a step back. Hesitantly, she crouched and made her way to him, ignoring the mud and the inhuman emptiness in his face ( ... )
