After spending some time in the park, Marie had gone back to her dads' place. She realized she hadn't checked her email since she had arrived.

Immediately after checking, she rushed over to Lana's house since she couldn't find her dads anywhere.

She knocked frantically on the door, clutching a handful of papers.

Lana opened the door, looking worried. "Marie, what's wrong?"

"Phoebe," Marie said, handing over a printout of the email. "She needs us."

Lana's face fell as she read the letter. "Oh God, Marie," she whispered.

Marie nodded. "We have to do something."

[dark_innocence]

"What?" Lana said desperately. "What can we do?"

"Bring her out here?" Marie suggested.

[dark_innocence]

"Of course," Lana said. "She can stay here. We've got plenty of room. And she'd be with us and close to Mr. Phale and Dr. Wilson..."

Marie nodded. "That's a good idea. I haven't heard from her lately. I guess I know why now."

Lana felt sick to her stomach. "And I haven't been in touch in so long. God, Marie, I feel so guilty now. If I had been..."

"No. Don't you dare blame yourself," Marie said. "You had plenty of your own problems to deal with."

"How do we get her here?" Lana asked, choosing not to respond. Nothing Marie could say was going to make her believe it wasn't at least partly her fault. if she'd been in touch with Phoebe she would have known it was getting bad before it got to this point.

"I almost want to send Papa Phale after her," Marie admitted. "But maybe we should give her a chance to come out on her own. I've got a decent amount of money saved up, we could buy her a plane ticket and tell her if she's not on the plane, we're sending him out?"

"I have money," Lana said. "More than I could ever use. Just... I can't use a credit card. If you can put it on yours I'll pay for it."

"Got a computer?" Marie asked. "We can book a flight right now."

Lana nodded and led the way to the study. "Right here," she said.
