I woke up this morning to a text message from my brother accusing me of going into his room to look for Christmas presents. Fuck him! I don't want or need to put up with that sort of childish bullshit. And I know he won't apologize for it. This has to be the most insulting thing to happen in the entire year. Something goes wrong in someway,

I went into his room. To get wrapping paper. I looked only at wrapping paper. I will tell him it was me.

It was discussed at dinner. As much as I kind of like that proverb, I don't think that David assumes you are a thief. He walked into his room, which he had closed the door to, and found bags moved around in his room. The main one, which had been moved ONTO his bed, was the present for you. He was really drunk and assumed that someone had come in to look at his presents because he didn't know what else to think. My present was untouched, as was dad's, which ruled us out. Mom's and yours were moved. He figured it wasn't mom. So he decided it was you. It was not solid logic, but he was drunk. And he has been pretty clear about the fact that he was wrong and that he didn't mean to be a jackass, at least he's been clear to the rest of the family. So you can keep being upset about it if you want, but I hope you can move past it. He's not seeing it as a big deal because he doesn't see you as a thief, and is seeing the whole incident as a dumb mistake he made when he was drunk.
