My guess is that they're taking a break, and after a couple of months they'll pick it up again because otherwise the anime would outrun the manga at some point

IDEALLY they would have just kept going, got the Shimon and then had a bunch of amazing Shimon/Vongola funtime fillre =3=;;;; B-but oh well.

I had heard that it got removed from the timeslot and there wasn't a new timeslot announced but I just figured that was yet to come, and then I saw that it's not coming back today /sobs

Although Shimon would make it super special awesome, I would go with filler in any form. All the anime's fillers so far have been pretty damn awesome. And I could totally live with another daily life arc. JUST SAYING
