You don't need the bodies to do Edo Tensei - you need sacrifices and then somehow you summon the souls and the bodies are coated in ash and the ash forms a likeness of the soul. If you see what I mean. It'll be lolzworthy if Zombie Sasori fights Kankuro and his puppet.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. Since, you know, Deidara and Sasori didn't really have a body to go back to. And Itachi's body wouldn't have any eyes.
