MetaCritic and SMS

I don't normally repost stuff from my games blog here, but I just wanted to point out that I've set up a service you can text message the name of a game to, and it gives you the Metacritic score for that game. Pretty useful, eh?

In short, you text a message like

metagamebot: "oblivion ps3"

to 265010, and you get a response like:

Elder Scrolls IV:

Yeah, I'm aware of that bug. I'm not considering it critical, since you do get the results you asked for, plus a reminder of what Brain Age was rated, ya know?
