Dave Arneson, sadly, DID pass away two days ago at the age of 61. I was not going to post this until I was triple-sure that the news was correct, since I mistakenly reported his death a few days early. Here's my original post:

Okay, I'm all caught up now. I saw your original post and then the retraction, so when I saw the news again from other sources, I was a tad confused.

It's too bad to see the old guard of table top gaming falling. First, Mike Ford (whose work I knew from other venues but whose Black Box Blues come highly recommended) and then Gary Gygax, and now Dave Arneson. Feels like the passing of an era.
