Eating

So I've decided to make a change to my diet: I'm eating vegetarian (lacto-ovo), unless it's meat I've cooked myself or a special circumstance like I'm eating at one of Chris Schlesinger's restaurants. In practice, this means I'll be eating meat once, possibly twice a week.

Also, it means that when I do eat meat, I'm going to make sure it's a fucking ( Read more... )

I do something similar. I just call it a low-meat diet.

Cool. I've been hemisemidemivegetarian the past year or two, and I'm happy with it. I'd felt guilty about supporting factory farming of sentient animals for quite a while before that, but not enough to change my whole diet, which translated into not doing anything at all about it, really. But just reducing one's meat-eating was easy.

I'm a proud flexitarian. (Although I've regressed a bit since breaking up with my vegetarian boyfriend two years back.)

I also like using the word "flexitarian".
