dude, just because some radicals in the middle east are bent for world domination in the name of Allah, doesnt mean that islam is a corrupt and bellicose institution. We have many islamic people here in America and is there articles in the newspaper about american islams blowing up buildings? Honestly, "it is a religion that is bent on world domination" how can you say that? Just because you are a member of a faith doesn't mean that you have the exact views as everyone else in your faith. The views of a single or small confederation of individuals within the faith can not reflect the views of the faith in its entirety. To the point of the Qur'an, I have read parts of it with my islamic friend but do not claim to know much about the islamic faith. But that said, I believe that the American media has given us this image of this "book of war" and its savage passages. I think the Bible has many awful passages as well (ex. the battle of jericho, the killing of first male boys by God in Egypt, and God telling his people through moses that

I can see where you are coming from and some parts I agree with and others are a bit skewed.
If you know about the history of Islam, it started out bloody, and continued to be bloody until the French (of all people) stopped them. Islam IS bent on world domination, it was the mission then, and its the mission now. If you think about it all relgions want you to convert to their ways and beliefs, but some try to do it by friendship and others by war, Islam being one of these.
And, if you know anything about the Inquisition or the Crusades, which I am sure you do, those were supported by the Roman Catholic Church, which I believe has its priorities and doctrine mixed up, hence the Reformation.
So you're Lutheran but believe that Islam isn't violent? Yes, I know that the Muslims in the US aren't blowing up buildings, but Islam in the US is so watered down. The Muslims in the east look down upon the Muslims in the west. Don't you think they knew that there were Muslims in the World Trade Centers? They don't think they are conservative enough. They (Bin Laden mainly) don't even believe that Saudi Arabia is conservative enough, even though its one of the most conservative in the world, behind Burma. But in saying that, I am glad that we have found some common ground. Although, I don't think all Catholics are hellbound or heavenbound, but I believe that it is based on tradition, which was never meant to be. But it is too much to explain, and I am sure you know most of it, you seem intelligent.
i must admit, i thought darin wrote the passage when i first read it and i had a strong mind to tell him he was wrong. But know, being informed that it was someone else, i find that i have lost some of that passion to prove myself right because i could care less about the stupid people in the world who have stupid oppinons. Anyway, i still believe what i said, but now im glad that darin didnt write it.

Here's one: John Kerry is an idiot and if he is elected you can see that American intelligence as a whole has slipped. Also, I am surprised he has remembered to show up for debates considering he had such a hard making it to Washington when the Senate convened, but I at least he showed up for the important one. You know, the one about us going to war with Iraq, yeah the one he signed saying it was good for us to go, yet now his botoxed face is whistling a different tune. Now he blames Bush for handling is wrong. IT'S WAR, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT. Oh well, I'm just glad I can vote and keep that fool fro office. Even if Bush wasn't in the running I would vote for anyone but Kerry. Plus if Kerry was voted in he'd probably change his mind and not take office, after he finds out that he ACTUALLY has to show up.
