I find myself lacking for the proper works to explain how much I love this story - it's brilliant and beautiful and far more than I ever, EVER expected. It hits kinks, but it breaks my heart, too.
It is a quintessential "Daria234" White Collar story, fun in places, erudite in others, full of authentic emotions and regardless of the A/U, very much in character.
There is an expression that fits this story: Well worth the wait.
You have my very humble thanks. I will return to this again and again.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you like it. And thank you again for being so understanding about the whole thing. I always intended to complete it and have been thinking about it for a long time, and I'm really happy you like the direction the story took.
What a wonderful continuation of one of my favorite stories. There is so much emotion and love in this chapter. I love how Neal and Peter are willing to compromise for each other. I hope you consider giving us a glimpse into the future lives again.
I adored this! There's so much in it to love. I especially love your photographer!Elizabeth, and I'm so glad that you went there and had Peter catch Neal. I thought for a bit that you were going to have Neal go legit almost by mistake (just start picking up more legit work than cons until all of the sudden he turns around and Neal Caffrey has a career), but the way you did it was much more satisfying.
One small thing: I noticed a few places where you slid back and forth between past and present tense. It seemed like the majority of the fic was in past, but there were several passages that slipped into the present.
But really, I just adored the fic. Lucky elrhiarhodan!
Oh, I love this AU. Everybody is in character and Neal has no anklet! (I have no idea why I hate the anklet, but I do.) And I love the whump, even though it's heartbreaking.
