"The one thing I can't figure out is how the sculpture got into the basement in the first place," Reese said, hands on his hips, clearly having figured out exactly how Neal had tricked the target into confessing.
Neal didn't want to lie outright, and was about to say something clever and evasive, when Reese held up a hand to stop him.
"We both got what we wanted today, so I'm calling it a draw -- have a good evening, Caffret," Reese said, and Neal could swear he almost saw a smile.

The Soldier felt the tightness on both sides of his skull, felt the thud of blood pumping too fast and hard for even his body to take; he couldn't hear anything but a din.
The footage proved that the target had been telling the truth; once, in a dim past, they were ... something else, something not enemies.
He wanted to run, wanted to tear through the walls themselves to get out, wanted to keep going until he reached cover, tunnels or forests or anything dark and closed in, but instead he kept watching, over and over, the wrinkling around of the eyes of these two foolish men, and one of them was just like the Soldier except for his smile.
"Eliot's weakness is his protectiveness of others, of course, and with Parker, it wouldn't be right to target her insecurities but we can certainly target her possessiveness, and Hardison's easy, we'll just distract him with an amazingly complex task and he won't even notice that we've put a plan in motion."
Nate raised his eyebrows and said, "Sophie, do you really think it's appropriate to plot against our own teammates?"
She objected, "Wanting your friends to finally pull their heads out of the sand and get together is not 'plotting,' it's being supportive," and Nate just sighed and nodded.

So many Bucky feels! I'm totally going to be re-reading this a few times before I go see Endgame (and probably after.)
