I guess everyone at some point believes they can stand up for something they believe in regardless of the odds against them, but it isn't until this moment happens that you know for sure.

First part of this- epic. losing is sad. but I'd root for building better friendships any day. I'm a fan of that even when the letters leave a bitter taste in my mouth these days, I'd still root for the SED.

Second part of this- dislike. I'd just like to call him a douchebag. But I know what needing closure feels like. I know what that awkward hello feels like and clearly even the awkward being in the same place and not speaking thing. It just sucks. No way around it. I dislike him. And I use to like him. Douchebag.

I am yet unable to figure out the reasoning behind a lot of the things people do, and what you just described stands near the top.
Why be unkind?
Particularly, why be unkind to someone who has showed you love, with whom you shared wonderful experiences, who never showed you malice or evil intentions?
Why, why, why?
