my mom used to LOVE south sea pearls (and jewelmer). her big investment buys back then were antiques (ceramics), paintings and pearls. i never got what was so great about the ceramics, but i looooved the pearls. i used to beg her to let me wear them to school (ambisyosa!), which she of course refused to allow. i would make tampo but now i know why! johalia jackson!

i love pearls too. on my next vacation, i'll make sure to drop by jewelmer na talaga. i always forget to do this when i'm back in the country.

re: kris - she looks really nice in those photos. fab dress, fab shoes, mega-whoa!! earrings. pero question: in an event like that, is she anything like the kris in the buzz/snn? i saw her last sunday (via TFC), one of the rare occasions i get to watch the buzz (nakipanood lang, i don't have TFC) and my god, sumakit ang ulo ko sa kanya. hindi ko sya kinaya last sunday.

Greenhills pearls

Hi Daphne,
Just wanted to ask if you've ever seen the pearls in greenhills(shoppesville)? That one whole section that sells all kinds of pearls. If so...just wanted to know what you think. I'm sure they're not comparable to the ones at Jewelmer but can you say pwede na rin? Are they worth buying? I mean for those who can't afford to get from Jewelmer or any of those reputable upscale stores. Ok I'm speaking for myself here :)
I heard that IRM is a "suki" in one of the shops there.

I don't know. Its a personal choice I guess.

There are so many different factors you can use to judge a pearl, see link above.

Also do the nose test. See if your nose/face is reflected from the pearl.
