Urban Zone: Tagaytay weekend home

Hello friends! I've missed you. Sorry for taking that long break. We are THIS close to turning over and moving into our new site. I didn't realize how tedious it could be. Plus I've been learning new skills that I'll be applying to the new site. It's like learning a new language, literally. And I'm having a hard time retaining the info unless I ( Read more... )

Lovely and we surely miss you! jenwee19 June 27 2011, 07:25:52 UTC
Hi Daphne,

This house is just timely. 2 weekends ago, I was actually in Tagaytay visiting the new house of my friend's family. It was a country-style how and in yellow shade too. I just thought it was soooo nice and actually wanted something like it for myself, in the future. I was not able to catch UZ last Friday so this blog is really really liked! I can imagine that the cool weather in Tagaytay complimented the country-style house.

Hope to have your new website up and running soon. We really miss your entries.

Thanks,
Jen

The teenage girl's bedroom somewhat gave me a Japanese sophisticated lady feeling instead of a glam barbie and its not like a teenagers room. That's what I think. Own opinion.

Red and Black looks really modern and elegant and a little too "Mature" .. I think pink, black and white will be more barbie-ish.

And because most of the furniture used are dark colored pieces + the dark colored wall and red curtain/blinds non of the furniture "shines."

I'm having a little problem understanding the color combination. Again this is just me thinking.

The colours are fuchsia pink, black and white. Maybe it doesn't show in the photo. And its exactly supposed to be what you said - a more grown up Barbie. If you're familiar with Barbie, there's a line of products that uses fuchsia, not bubble gum pink.

If the idea is for it to be a more grown up barbie then I think its okay. I was thinking of a more teenage barbie and yeah maybe the real color doesn't show in the photo.

I have a hard time staying up late to watch UZ. When I do get to watch UZ, I wake my mom up and we kinda bond/drool over UZ features. Having an architect dad, I grew up looking at blueprints (It was uso back then haha!) and knowing the existence of Autocad and Corel Draw. Although I didn't follow his footsteps, I enjoy browsing on interior design magazines and blogs, especially yours! I simply admire your taste :)

Now on to the weekend house. I love the idea of using yellow! I've always wanted yellow dining chairs because it gives out a happy vibe. Heima furniture are absolutely divine, I'm dreaming of owning a piece (or maybe even more) for my future house.

I'm definitely looking forward to your new site and upcoming entries. More power and God bless you and your family.

I like the yellow dining area! I'd love to have those same chairs in my own place someday.

Nice show by the way. I used to sleep late every Sunday just so I could catch your show. Now, it's a bit harder with the new time slot because Friday night is gimik night. It's a good thing you write about the houses you visited here in your blog. At least, I don't miss much.

More power to you and your show!
