i like mushy families..:-) i've always wanted one.i am finally whole,bea is back. i can't wait to spend the new year with her.i miss my family too but my heart's with her..family of two mushies.:-)
i think most families have noche buena at midnight..i can't seem to imagine it at any other time.

Our Tradition is to have family buffet dinner after 7pm mass, then whatever you like to do, the yugglies "facebooked", some cousins cooked, another cousin rediscovered playing the piano, we had fan guessing chords & notes, the olds played mahjong & poker.
Around 11pm our family priest, who is like our Uncle arrives and like a shepherd he guides us to start our "exchange gifts" with a prayer & a blessing, then at midnight after kissing & hugging everyone. we start from the oldest sibling, her children etc etc..since most of us have grown and have work now, the "giving" lasts longer so we start at 1130pm. this year we worked fast we ended around 2am but still got home around 3am. then 5 hours of sleep before the kids starts knocking on our doors. Happy Christmas!
Btw, saw your Husband at Starbucks Congressional last week, thought you were with him, too shy to say Hello, as I was with my Loud & Crazy Family that afternoon...
