there are goods and bads... The good is that holidays make people slow down and schedule a day to be together. What we have to learn is that it isnt about the rushing about and gifts or food.

thats kinda weird. for me the holidays were only about family and being forced to hang out with them and liking it. never about meat or gifts or any of that stuff. i kind of forget sometimes that some people see them that way.

i enjoy my family, too. especially hanging out with my dad, but my relatives and my boyfriends parents put a lot more value on the materialistic qualities of the holidays. i'm glad yours are much more enjoyable.
