Keep chugging along here. I would have been done earlier, but my shoulders decided they wanted to hate me for a while. This chapter feels long to me even though I had meant it to be short. Ah well. Enjoy!

It's also a vague reference to Final Fantasy IX. Just slipped in there.

Yes. When Vivi gets a (fake) ticket, it reads I Want to Be Your Crow. And I have no idea why I know this, as I've never actually played the game (only have watched it be played). :D

Haha! I can't believe I didn't remember that. I was thinking of Antivan types of crows. I just only ever remember the name of the play.

Wonderful! Poor Alistair. Out of his depth, 100%, but learning.

I continue to love Avelle. So different from the stereotypical Cousland you so often see in fanfic. I'm starting to wonder if her darkness, and her willingness to do what it takes to survive, will continue to develop---and in what direction. Will Alistair curb her darker leanings? Or will she find more of an affinity with Morrigan?

I also find it interesting that Alistair is continually making excuses for Avelle's behavior when it doesn't fall into line with his moral standards (i.e., "The witch was a bad influence, he was sure of it.").

Can't wait to see how this all develops!

I'm glad you're enjoying Avelle. She's becoming more interesting to me. There's definitely a lot she has in common with Morrigan, while the person she was before Howe's attack has a lot of personality quirks in common with Alistair. The three of them are going to have some struggles with that.

Alistair's quick to blame Morrigan for everything, but he's going to have to deal with Avelle's behavior pretty soon I think. Punching at the drop of an insult isn't good when a price is on your head. ;)
