It's official. Less than five years after getting LASIK surgery, which allowed me to see without glasses for the first time in about 25 years, I will now need to get reading glasses. I've become farsighted

I am back in regular glasses, actually--not just reading glasses. But I think the Lasik is keeping me out of bifocals for longer.
Anyway, given how incredibly nearsighted I was before, I wasn't upset about needing glasses again. I like the way glasses look (now that there are cool styles) but I couldn't stand how thick mine were, or how that thickness limited the styles I could realistically choose. Now I can wear anything, and I could go without glasses altogether most of the time. I'm just too attached to seeing really well.
