My third graders were remarking on how in cartoons, whenever somebody does something magnificent or worthy of praise it gets immediately destroyed or falls apart for comedic effect. They said, "That really sucks."

I don't know what kind of sucking you are having, but bear in mind that somewhere someone is delighting in the humor of it all. The only way you can outdo them is enjoy it yourself.

but thankfully everything does suck. it makes getting through the day so much more pleasurable- for multiple reasons.
