I continue to REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS SHOW. Partially because there's such a dearth of excellent, unapologetic pulp on television anymore (and anyone that tries to tell me this isn't pulp is a crazy person. The Black Lotus were right out of a Doc Savage or The Shadow story. Actually, The Shadow would make SUCH A GOOD TV SHOW OH MY GOD. Like Batman

I also wrote fic dissecting Sarah's motivations and how she sees herself (ie, major self-esteem issues) because she's certainly bright enough to see how sherlock and john interact and she obviously knows that john's life is a trainwreck. also i see her as not having very much personal willpower even when she knows better.

.....and despite all that, i like her. i like her a lot. i just feel bad for her because i know it's not going to end well.

and i also totally loved the campy pulp nature of it 8D it really reminded me of some of the more lurid of the holmes mysteries, in that they were totally written to be trashy thrillers.

I...want to read that fic. If it's not spoilery for the third episode. Although I will watch that one soon and then I won't have to worry about it and I might write for it and it'll be great.

Yeah, exactly. It had just the right kind of hokeyness.
