I am so late to this train, but: SHERLOCK.

Just watched A Study in Pink and it was very, very good. I adore Martin Freeman, and Benedict Cucumberbitch is a strange-looking man whose voice does not fit his face but who plays a pretty damn good Sherlock Holmes (very different than RDJ's). I was impressed actually with how close they stayed to the original stories while still uprooting the ( Read more... )

SHERLOCK!!!! ♥ God now I desperately want to rewatch A Study In Pink. If it wasn't on my external hard drive that I haven't bothered to unpack yet, I would. Can't wait to hear your take on the next two! =)

I wrote fic to explain why Sherlock is pretty stupid at times, and it's all because he's in love with John and it distracts him. YEP.

There's a lot of warmth missing, I think, from him, but on the other hand I cheerfully just assume the warmth is there and he's pretending to be perfect for John. Because I can!

Also remember that fic I was writing for you and I didn't like it? My computer crashed and ate it. There was no reason for the crash. I didn't drop it, I didn't do anything beyond what I normally did. It just gave up. And I've pretty much decided that the only reason for the crash was to make me lose that fic and not even attempt to finish it. So I'm starting over and it will be much better, but first I must attend to packing and pjo exchange and possibly driving to Canada.

There's a lot of warmth missing but like. I feel very much like it's THERE, it's just John hasn't quite wormed his way close enough to find it, yet? As of this episode anyway.

I do remember that fic, and aaahhaa. That's hilarious. I hope you didn't lose anything else! And I will gladly accept the fic whenever you have time for it. ♥

Also as I was perusing your fantastique new layout - quote for Parnassus! YESSSSSSS ♥ I loved that movie. And I had so many strange thoughts about it and it didn't go at all as expected and that was totally the point and it was so thought-provoking. Which I said already.

...I need to go clean.

YES YES YES I adored Parnassus, it was such a...it summed up so many of the things I feel about the world without ever being trite or stupid, and it was beautiful. Left the theatre feeling like Terry Gilliam had made a movie just for me, a little bit? Only not at all the way I would have made the same movie. Idk, idk.
