"What, again?"

Yes...it's me...again...

I decided to wait and listen to the rest of the Titanic OST, since it was so close to being done anyway (and 'Hymn to the Sea' is my favorite track - always has been). And of course such a beautiful song got me thinkin (oh god, here we go)...

I'm curious to know what y'all' favorite non-lyrical CDs are. They don't have to be ( Read more... )

Even though my eyes are about to close and my head is about to smash into the keyboard, here are mine!

Pride and Prejudice (the one with Keira Knightley)
Titanic
Firefly
Doctor Who
And also two tracks. August's Rhapsody from August Rush and Throttleneck from Brad Paisley's album 5th Gear. OH, and Moonlight Serenade by the Glenn Miller Orchestra which just happens to be my ring tone. You probably didn't want tracks, but there ya go.

I SO know what you mean about only being able to concentrate with certain CDs. Firefly and Pride And Prejudice are mine. Just some nice background music that still play as almost a soundtrack to the fic.

I haven't seen Pride and Prejudice yet, and am not a Doctor Who fan, so I don't really know what those OSTs are like

But of course I know the splendor of Titanic - I got you into it! And of course, Firefly is LVOE! Total and complete LVOE! (though it's a pitty that most of the songs are so short *sigh*) I love August's Rhapsody (I've been thinking about getting THAT OST, actually - I mean JRM singing? How could i not?!

And well, Titanic HAS turned into soundtrack for fics - I've done two fics based off that music already! *snort*

I don't do instrumental. I dunno why but I don't like it. I need words to keep me entertained. I have a couple of instrumental things on various OST (like Shrek and Spiderman) but they're all switched off on my i-tunes. I find the non-word thing very distracting.

Yeah, i understand - Instrumental just isn't everyone's thing. Actually, I wasn't a big fan of it (i mean, I've had and loved Titanic for years, and always LVOED the Lion King instrumental stuff) - i would usually skip over that stuff on OSTs. It wasn't until I got into LOtR that I saw how much that music really makes a movie!

But sometimes, I'm just in a mood for songs with lyrics so I can sing to them! XD

Anything you said up there about sounding like a freak blah blah blah... you know we're on the same page. LoL.

I dunno how I missed this post in my flist before. Strange... anyway...

Jurassic Park
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Gladiator (both OSTs)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Stargate (all)
Titanic
Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars
Transformers (latest movie)
Apollo 13

And YOU know those are just off the top of my head... I could be here all day. And you know I agree with you... there's just something about OSTs/Instrumental cds that just moves you! I can't explain it, but once again we're on the same page there so I really don't have to!

I was WONDERING why you said NOTHING... I mean, you are my partner in crime when it comes to all things OSTs (do we even KNOW how many we've exchanged over the years??)

Yeah, I could've gone on and on too - as you know. I mean, I wouldn't HAVE the OST if I didn't LVOE it. I was so damn tempted to list ALL of my John Williams stuff because you know how much i LOVE him!!

And of course we're on the same page - it's a rare and painful moment when we aren't (though it's happened on occassion, of course!)
