Actually no, it didn't take me an age at all. Wrote it all in one sitting, in one day. Took me about 3 hours.

I'm very happy you agree with my arguments/thoughts in there.

Very interesting and all very true. Mythology is what grounds SG-1 and makes it so much more appealing, wordly and relatable than so many other shows. Mythology is after all just about people (not very mysterious, or maybe more so!) and the way we live together in a community, which is just what fandom is!

So, loves this.

Also, I love it when 'cult' fandom and academia collide!! I did my Honours dissertation on the effects of fan intervention on the production of sci-fi tv shows (Stargate and Firefly) and got a lovely 97 High Distinction for that - ohhh, about 5 years ago now *feels old*
