So, I'm confused. Is the A New Nightmare the one that was supposed to be Real Life where Freddie came after Heather and Robert or the rumored remake of the original movie?

Yeah, New Nightmare is the one that take place in "the real world." The remake of the original NOES should be coming out later this year.

New Nightmare is actually the only NOES film that makes me a bit nervous. I find myself hesitating before opening closet doors, for example. :)
