I'm seriously disappointed by tonights Ashes to Ashes: not only the thatcherite scum was not the baddie, he doesnt even get killed in the blast at the end!!! I cannot help by seeing this as yet another small sign of the BBC's attempt to rehabilitate the filthy whore thatcher [spits] - the rich shit should have OBVIOUSLY been the bad guy and go down ( Read more... )

Well hey, Labour had their 10 years and they facked up big time! I am not suprised the tide is turning again.

If only the Lib Dems got a shot once in a while...

I don't really know the ins and outs, only that my friend and a couple of other semi-familiar faces were in it, but I suspect the reason why there weren't many younger people is very simple: young people are not goths these days - and those who are are bleepy-shite loving cyber muppets who look nothing like goths and new romantics would have looked in 1981

They got a quite a few people from The Electric Dreams for that scene. And lots of different ages. Coming to think of it..not that many young'uns.
By the way I saw you dowm at Claytown Troupe, filming the gig. Looking forward to seeing them again suporting The Mission! Georgie :)

I saw Ashes to Ashes lat week [not this one] and I thought it was utter rubbish! The *only* good thing was the music....

As for Thatcher, well I'll be partying when she fucking dies! Apparently Class War have planned a big party in Trafalgar Square the Saturday after she snuffs it.... Mind you, that will probably be stopped.

As much as I did not like her, her policies or what she stood for back in the day, I will not be rejoicing when she dies not for any hazy nostalgic reasons but because she was female and held one of THE most powerful positions on earth, not bad going really considering women didn't even have the vote a mere 100 years beforehand.

One thing I remember my dad sarcastically saying during the Thatcher years, (not sure if he made it up himself or heard it somewhere)
"I admire Margaret Thatcher because she did the one thing Hitler's Germany could never do, BRING BRITAIN TO IT'S KNEES"
