It finally got into our cinemas 3 weeks ago and after all the american buzz I decided to see it the first day and I have to say I expected way more. I´m not really into farting and puking jokes and the movie was based on that. Even the opening scene, Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm having sex in many different positions. Was this supposed to be funny? We were all looking at each other awkwardly. Also I guess I´m the only female who thinks Jon Hamm is overrated and not even that cute. And yes, I watch Mad Men.
I can´t say I hated the movie, there were funny moments, too. It was good but it didn´t make me feel like I was watching something extraordinarily funny or special. I guess I can´t get over the puking in the hair scene. I had to cover my eyes.lol
Must be some cultural difference. Same as when Hangover got 20% in the reviews here and won Oscar in US. Lets say I´m more into a subtle humor.
This movie wanted to prove that comedies for women can be bold and equal to the comedies for guys. And I think it accomplished that. It is just not my cup of tea. If I should compare this years movies, I felt more entertained by
Morning Glory than Bridesmaids.
