Wow... I haven't posted in a very long time... many of you probably wish to know what has happened to me... well, here it is. I realize that it is a lot of material, so I will put a cut in.

1) I can't believe they are coming out with a Transformer's movie. I heard it's been a rumor for a while...

2) I think I went to the quarry you've been to. I picked up some of the stuff that you found and I found a rather pretty piece of quartz. I swear I picked up some tourmaline too... even though it was a small bit of it. Nothing special. I love going to west paris, or south paris. Parham's is a nice place to look at some pretty awesome rocks.

Shoot, when I say quartz, I meant amethyst... sorry, I was actually contemplating the chemical formula of amethyst (quartz (SiO2) and some Iron (I think... i'm not sure)) and I think I got confused in the brain XD.

Quartz and amethyst are basically the same mineral... yeah the purple color comes from the impurities and/or heat/pressure given to the rock...

And tourmaline is quite prevalent in the pegmatite belt out in the Oxford county. Hence why Mount Mica is quite the place for large caches of tourmaline.
