You SHOULD wait to hear what she says, and not feel bad about anything because as far as you and her are concerned, she hasn't expressed interest in a relationship in a LONG time, so you have had not reason to believe you're in one with her, and no reason NOT to put that you're single and looking for a relationship! Go you. You deserve to revel in taking positive steps toward non-drama.
