So... I've been writing. :)

I think it's actually a reaction to NOT writing for Drawn & Quartered, which is a play series that ITP does for which I usually write. Instead, I'm training a new director on the process. So, I have all these pent up plot bunnies (and you know how they get when you don't let them run around enough ( Read more... )

I think Marked has troubles to find an audience because the HGSS's interactions (I don't even speak of relationship) is long in the coming. Don't give it up, though. It's a good story, but not all good stories please people.

That's a really good point. The SSHG stuff is still a little ways off. I guess that I forget that since I know it's coming. :)

Thanks for the encouragement!

Brilliant. As much as I detest the idea of unfaithfulness in a relationship, this is certainly the only way I can be comfortable with the epilogue (of course, the rest of the time I just subscribe to the concept of E.W.E). This is a portrait of a Hermione that didn't follow her emotional and intellectual needs to their natural conclusion, that forgot about herself somewhere along the way. Can't you just picture her inability to refuse Ron's proposal in the aftermath of their victory? Her inability to create negativity when they have only just gotten rid of the negativity that was Voldemort and his regime? Poor Hermione. JKR didn't understand her at all.

P.S. I review as Skarabeios on Ashwinder. No LJ for me ;)

Skarabeios - Thanks so much for stopping by lj to comment on this! (This story is on Ashwinder, too, btw, so you don't have to make the extra trip.)

I really like your idea about Hermione's inability to create negativity when they've finally - finally - gotten rid of the worst of it. I also think that it's interesting that in canon, we never did know what Hermione wanted to do with her life. Everyone agrees she's brilliant, and there are some career suggestions made, but she never DECIDES anything. It all takes a backburner to the present conflicts. I think when the war ended, she didn't know what to do with herself and THAT is how she wound up with Ron and a career in Magical Law Enforcement. While either *could* have made her happy (I say *could* in the loosest possible sense here), I think she only chose them because they seemed expected of her... and as good of ideas as anything else. I really believe she was lost. So even if those choices might have been good ones, they can't have been right for her, because they weren't really ( ... )
