If any comic strip characters were going to commit suicide, it would have to be "Ziggy" or "Cathy". Well, Ziggy is an optimist, but his life sucks, Cathy is ugly, fat and lonley. Most of the time, she talks about just that, being ugly fat and lonley. In recent "Cathy" comics she has this equally goofy looking man, who, i guess is like her

It's her husband. The woman who writes Cathy is the actual Cathy in real life and she got married like a year ago so she made the cartoon Cathy get married. And she's not ugly, fat, and lonely. She's just a product of people who think women like her are "ugly" and "fat" which creates the sense of loneliness in her. That's why I hate that cartoon and why I hate people who think Cathy is just what she says she is.
