Poll To Sim Or Not To Sim

Now of course, if I decide to get it, I'm waiting for the price to go down. And another thing, should I bother getting the collector's edition package?

All comments and advice are totally appreciated in this decision.

Oh, I almost forgot. I also do not have all the Stuff packs and Expansion packs for Sims2, so there's that as well to consider.

polls, thesims3, thesims2, computers, games

Will be in the company of Pokémon Trozei! and The Sims 2, or in the company of Age of Mythology and Disgaea?

OK, see, I'm bad at strategy games. They are frustrating. And I still play Trozei!. And I'm playing Sims 2 again! I just get easily bored and distracted, but I eventually go back to it again. Unless it's a strategy game. That shit is hard. Yes.

Yes I say get it. It's fun, in a totally different way than TS2 is fun. Especially if you were bored with TS2 at all, TS3 is such a new experience that it should keep you busy for a while. :)

Don't bother with the collector's edition. I totally feel as though I was ripped off. Inside the collector's edition box is the same TS3 game you'd buy by itself. I don't feel like the plumbbob shaped USB device was worth the extra $$.

DO spend that extra $$ on the Prima Guide if you can. There's a lot of good info in there. I don't usually consult it right away because part of the fun of a new game for me is figuring out stuff on my own, but I do like having it to look in when I need it!

Well, I'm not bored with Sims 2 yet, I think I'm just getting more and more curious and intrigued by Sims 3. And I don't even have everything for the Sim 2!

If you're a Sims fan, I suggest you get it. I don't have it, but a couple of my Lj friends think it's good.

See, I look at it the same way that I look at Sid Meier's Civilization series. I've been playing it for so long that I feel a loyalty to the game and to the designer. So far, aside from the Activision crap that was put out, I've never been disappointed in Sid. I adore the Civilization games, so I will almost always get it when it comes out, as I will with Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2.

On the other hand, you're right to wait for the prices to drop, which should make it a good Christmas pressie...;)

There is already a ton of custom content out! It's what makes me want to play it more and sooner. D:
