By the by, over the summer, I got bit on the neck by a brown recluse. THAT wasn't fun...so yeah, I understand the phobia.

Yup, laptop still works. Dell apparently makes them kinda hardy. Except for the fact that there's a purple vertical line down the middle of my screen, but that's been there for the past 6 months or something. It's apparently something that happens to many Dell computers.

Ewwwwww!!!! Spider bites are bad. My mom got bit by something one summer as well. It was really bad, and I think she had an infection. Her arm got all swollen and stuff. O_O;;;
