Vampire Knight (Chapter 43 - Scanlation)

Sep 23, 2008 13:35

Um. Latest chapter of Vampire Knight (43) was just released in scanlation and it made not a lick of sense to me. Can anyone point to an explanation or just reassure me that it isn't just me and the series is kinda incomprehensible now?

scanlation, vampre knight, manga

I was so confused! I don't know who's doing what to whom for why.

{{clings to Yuki-Zero interaction, which was recognizably full of angst and passion, even though I have no idea why the who did the wha'}}

yeah, there's lots of "good stuff" (i.e. Yuki-Zero, which is probably the main reason I'm still reading this series) even though I'm not sure why there's a bunch of um...branches? (Or, god for forbid, tentacles?!) Coming out of Zero now (b/c he drank the blood of his brother?) Or was that the effect Bloody Rose, or whatever they call that anti-vampire gun of his....

I don't know, the whole thing makes my head hurt-y....

I think they were vines? As in rose vines with strangling thorns?

I'm staying away from the tentacles thought. Far, far away.

I hope the official translations make more sense. It doesn't help that I can't keep any of Kaname's people straight. I think this chapter had key background information about Kaname and his actual if any genetic relationship to Yuuki, but I couldn't follow it.

*nods* Oh hell yes, about the Kaname sections of the chapter. I think there was an indication that Kaname was actually....one of his own ancestors? There seemed to be some indication that he himself went to "sleep" for long periods and then awoke again, which is currently seems to happening with the old dude...who looks like his and/or Yuki's father? (The name Juuri, Yuki's mother kept coming up...)

Oh wait never mind, I just confused the crap out of myself.

The sad part is I *want* this to make sense, which is probably where my confusion begins. I should just shut off my brain and look at the pretty, pretty pictures.
