that minihome one is great! i think i heard about it on the radio... unless there is another prefab off-grid thing like it, in toronto. i think it would be survivable... if you had a big yard?

no, thats the one. it has a little solar array and a wind generator and a composting toilet. and its heater/hot water/backup generator runs on biodiesel! seems cool. maybe for you and josh? although $150K seems cheap for me, but I guess up north, you can get something pretty palatial for that! funny how standards get skewed like that...

true enough! when i saw the price i was like, "yikes!" and really i think i'd prefer to build my own self-contained living unit. but, it would also be prety handy just to get one where everything is done.

also, the apartment we live in is, according to josh, 480 square feet. so really it IS livable... you just need a garage. cause we really, really need a garage. and a closet or two.

also, most houses in red lake go for over 200 grand. it's ridiculous.

also, your hats are great!

hah - see, when I saw the price I was like - %150K? sweet! you can't get anything for that here. maybe the land to put it on...

and - thanks! about the hats. i like them. haven't heard back from the store in Ottawa.... I'm thinking etsy? worth a try.
