In two weeks time Buenos Aires will be helding its biennial International Theatre Festival (in Spanish it's called just "International Festival", but's mainly theatre and dance), and as usual, my Mom and I are planning to go, and have already bought the tickets, which are on sale since yesterday...yup, we planned everything in advance in order not ( Read more... )

I love plays! I'm so jealous...it's been ages since I've seen a play. It's been years since I last saw a regular play, but I go see a good number of operas. Last one of those I saw was when my mother took me to see Madama Butterfly for my birthday. As for the last actual play...it was probably when I went to a theatre festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Canada.

Oh my, that all sounds fantastic! I do love going to plays, but strangely enough I don't do it all that often. Those all sound incredible, though! Will the plays be acted in their native languages, or are they in English? (Or Spanish?)

Have fun!

Lol, the same happens to me, I barely go to see plays even though I like to, dunno why really^^'
All plays are performed in their native languages, and when needed, there is a special screen with the subtitles:)

So, I've googled these Polish plays because I've not heard of them before, but that's because I'm not much of a theater fan ;)
The Danton Case sounds good. Apparently it got lots of positive opinions in Poland.

I love going to the theater! It's so amazing, I personally like theater in the round, which is basically the actors act in the middle of the room and the audience is in a circle basically creating the border, it's so fun.

And I've already seen it acted out, but i would love to see it again, but I definitely want to see the play Blithe Spirit again, it was so fun!
It's about a man and his wife who are being haunted by the man's former girlfriend who is jealous of his new relationship, the way it was performed made it really funny and upbeat, it was fabulous.
