Looking around I wonder why the Ancients couldn't have had a little variety in their terraforming, the trees, rocks and water gets very boring after a while.

You know, Vala's right! Why'd they make it all look like British Columbia? Even in other galaxies? LOL.

Having grown up in the great province of BC, I have no idea. They could have at least used the mountains or the rain forest a little more. That stuff is all around Vancover. Or they could have been daring and taken a road trip to Osyoos or Kamloops where we there are desert like conditions.
We really do have in that province.

True; "Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon" (starring MS as an archaeologist) was filmed in the dersert-y areas near Kamloops, which was where MS grew up.

Didn't know that. I grew up about an hour and a half away from there. In winter I was there about once a month playing Ringette. Beautiful city.
