Abney Park in Eugene OR

Well we recently got back from the Bad Fairies Ball show in Oregon. It began way too early in the morning on Saturday as we started our five hour drive down from Seattle to Eugene. Just so everyone knows, the I-5 drive has to be one of the most boring in the Pacific NW. Taking 101 along the Oregon coast is sooooo much better, but I digress ( Read more... )

I was ecstatic to watch you guys streaming live. We'd been sitting in a hospital lobby for two days by the time you hit the stage, with nothing to do but worry ourselves sick and drink obscene amounts of coffee. I really needed something to lift my spirits.

It was kinda like "man, I sure could go for an Abney Park concert about now. Oh wait, I have one right here!"

AP podcasts SO need to happen more often.

What's the name of the hotel? We end up in Eugene alot and it might be fun to go and try the elk medallions.

I think it was the Valley River Inn. Its right next to the Eugene Mall. On the river, oddly enough..... :)

I grew up in Eugene, but live in Los Angeles now. Reading this made me all nostolgic and slightly annoyed with myself for not being there! The McDonald theater is SO great!
(With a menu like that, they could only have stayed at the Hilton, the Excelsior, or the Valley River Inn. :) )

P.S. Robert messed up the words to "Change Cage" at New Years Eve. :D

If you look carefully at each show, you'll find each of us has some sort of cheat sheet. :) NYE is was pretty obvious though when Robert busted out a full size lyric page.... :)

Still, it sounds like it was an awesome, excellent show! Thank you for narrating this for the benefit of those of us who couldn't make it!
