I know that feeling of newness and excitement you get when you find something that has all this promise of innovation and adventure. But if you pursue it to its conclusion, or overanalyze it, you are left wanting something more. There is magic in the world, at the very least in our own perceptions. Whether you accept magic on faith or as a by-product of human perception, you can't deny it's appeal. Magic is in the eye of the beholder
( ... )
That is beautiful and so true, if you can keep a sense of mystery and wonder about you, it will keep the mundane world at bay, and allow that magic to fill you, and those around you...
This is all too true, Daniel. I'm someone who has a lot of knowledge, especially on pop culture and other specialized topics but at the same time? Nothing seems new, I've been there, done that. I've done the roadtrip to follow a concert tour, I've been to way too many SciFi conventions to count. Sure I have fun but it's not as much fun as it was when it was new. I'm at a point in my life where I'm looking at where I've been and where do I go from here... I'm still trying to work that out.
