EDITED: 30TH MAY 2012 (see comments at the bottom); 24TH MARCH 2008

Sometime in the 2005/2006 time frame, the staff of TheFanlistings.org developed a "Staff Generation" system to group staff members together based on when they joined the staff there. This post was created in July, 2006 when I decided to determine generations of staff for Read more... )

Heather was another person who staffed some A/M categories at TFL way back when.

It's funny you did this today. Just this morning a thread at TFL (mentioning Summer, know which I mean?) was making me think about people not remembering people who were staffers (even the really involved ones) from awhile ago. It was making me kind of sad, since I remembered her and lots of other TFL staffers that most of the current staff probably have no clue about ^^; Then I realized though the same thing is probably true at TAFL, since quite a few of our staffers probably don't even know people/weren't around when A/M was at TFL ^^;

It feels a bit weird that there aren't all that many of us left who staffed an A/M catagory when it was still at TFL. I feel fanlisting old now xD;

I always wonder if in a few years we'll have as big a turn over rate as TFL does. It boggles my mind a little who few people are still there from when I used to staff there.

(er sorry for rambling ^^;)

Er that last part doesn't make sense. I meant, it boggles my mind that there are so few people still staffing at TFL who staffed when I staffed there.

Oh, that's ok :) I know what you mean; anything before the summer of 2004 I don't remember really and was even having problems remembering who should be Gen 0.5 or 1.0. I do remember Summer, but I know there are a lot of other staffers that were 'before my time' and I know several of the staffers at TAFL now haven't been around since the beginning either. It's just sad there aren't more records for things like this :/

Ahh, this is really cool! :D (Heh, I'm the leader of my generation xD) It's really cool that you did this ♥ I'd been wondering about the TAFL generations myself.

yay, I'm glad you like it :D I really thought there were more in Gen 1.5, but yeah, the spacing's pretty good for how many hires were in each generation ♥

Oh cool! I'd see the generation stuff at the TFL boards and I've always wondered how they were broken down. I'm 3.0! Favorite number is 3. :}

Oh, it's about the same at TFL where each year is broken down into #.0 and #.5, just they're futher ahead in numbers ♥

Mwuahaha, 2.5! It means I'm relatively newer in TAFL staffer gens than at TFL, even though I was on staff at TFL first. OMG XD
