I agree! He will go as a newscaster. That's the safest way to go anywhere, tbh. Common tourists and citizens would be the ones who could get in dangerous situations. Some people are just ignorant (and that's really sad).
Brazil as many other countries, have a special treatment for athlets and media in a way to try 'hide' the problems...
Plus NTV itself, as they did in World Cup, hired a brazilian company to help with everything (translators, drivers, security guards, etc..).
They are ready for everything, and is not like we are in a kind of war you know... Will be dangerous of course, and I'm afraid for tourists and citizens but being judged like that really makes me sad.
Some people just enjoy focusing on the drama and don't pay any attention to reality. Everyone needs to pay attention to their own personal safety, but it's not like he's going to be wandering alone in some dark alley somewhere and as you said he will have more protection than ordinary people.
Rio never been considered a safe place, I travel to there few times in the year to work... but people are over reacting, I saw someone saying about to do a petition to JE to don't let him come...
Seriously? That is just drama, Olympics comission will protect all the journalist with extra cops plus NTV for sure did their precautions... As you said is not like he will be alone...
I'm afraid for tourists and citizens who don't know that place, where is secure or not... or don't will have cops to protect them because everyone will be worried and focusing in the Olympics...
I felt sad because is not funny see people talking about your country as you live in a hell, and I don't even live in Rio LOL I live in São Paulo a bit faraway from there...

My dear Dani I couldn't agree more! There will always be drama lovers... I find it ridiculous! I'm sure that Sho as caster will have all the possible protection not only from Brasil but also from Japan!! I understand that there might be some problems but I think that nowadays are very little counytries globally that do not face ANY kind of problems, protests etc. He have a famous crisis for years now... hello?! >< Also an additional note: Brasil is certainly not in the same position with other countries of Latin America! People should learn not to make such a fuss over sth like that!
That's exactly that, nowadays doesn't have a 100% safety place...
You just watch TV or see in the news in Internet, all those attcks in many considered 'safety' countries... That's sad and I know Rio is not considered a safe place even for us, I don't like to walk there all alone BUT Sho neither don't will be alone and will have a LOT of person to protect him as media, as caster, as idol...
Hi. first of all my name is Jarumi and i'm mexican so I totally unsdertand you, many people around the world thinks that latin america is a big dangerous place but in my point of view, there is many places in many countries in the whole world that are equally or more dangarous than ours, so I don't get why people is over reacting about this.
