I'm so surprised. The last snow day I had was like... 4 years ago? Whenever we had one at East. Our snow day webpage even says "Be advised that "Snow Days," during which MSOE classes are canceled, are VERY rare."

So the Marquette grad who designed this dorm didn't properly take positive moments into effect, and therefore the top of my window frame doesn't connect with the window. So after having a bathroom with 2 showers that either only sprayed hot or cold water, while misting it at a force that hurt to stand under for 1 1/2+ years, a toilet that has been out of order for 5 months, and a horrible smell of something dead and rotting for a month, everything is FINALLY fixed! So I just realized I have a note-taking program on my computer, Microsoft OneNote. I've decided I'm going to take most of my notes on it after this quarter is done. I don't have a scanner, so I took a picture of a paper-only hand out given to us, and this program translated the image into perfect text, formatted and everything with 2 mistakes in ( Read more... )

Finals are next week already! Erk. I've got 5 finals - HVAC, Electrical, Construction methods, Structural, and Chemistry. We also have 2 projects due, one of them being a 48-page calculation of the heating and cooling load of a building (48 pages front and back), and the other a presentation of the electrical design of a quick cleaners. The ignorance, apathy, and homophobia of the people at this school is driving me nuts.

So the freshmen this year think it's OK to take the elevator to the freaking 1st and 2nd floors! Not only is it a major waste of time (I beat the elevator to the 5th floor, even when the doors of the elevator open as I get to the stairs, and I don't go that fast.)
