Tegan was feeling all weird and fuzzy. Like she had, had too much to drink and she was about to pass out. But since she hadn't touched anything alcoholic for quite some time, she knew that couldn't be if but then why the hell was she so fuzzy. She knew she was being pushed up against a wall but that was about it, she trying to get her brain to work because this could not be good but it wasn't happening.

"You know, she's mine. So, I wouldn't do that if I were you, Kit." Riley told the guy who had done the cheesy thing and pulled Tegan into an alley. So, Riley had done it too but it's not like she didn't know it was cheesy but Kit didn't even seem to think it was and that was his problem. He lived up to so many of the vampire stereotypes.

Kit turned around and saw his baby sister standing there in all her glory with her hands on her hips and a bag from a nearby shop by her feet. She was looking at him like she always used to look at him when they had both been at home and he had done something she thought was stupid.

"Yours? How do you figure that one out?" He asked her, as he kept the slightly older looking blond under his trance so she wouldn't come to and hear what they were talking about. That always turned out so damn messy, and he was not one for the messy kills because it usually messed up his clothes and he'd need a shower. So, sue him, he was a bit vain.

"She just is. So, don't even think about laying one fang on her. Come on, Tegan." Riley told her brother, as she put out one of her hands and Tegan grabbed it before they walked off. Tegan only had memories of meeting Kit, Riley's brother and he had been very nice to talk to but they hadn't stopped for long and he said he was busy anyways.

Earlier:

"I seriously need some PJ's. I can not keep sleeping in the pants her mom gave her for Christmas and as comfy as the T-shirt is, it's a bit too small for me. Not that it shows much but I feel it. It's a bit tight." Riley told Tegan, as they headed towards Portobello Road to do some light shopping. Sophie had loaned Riley some money to buy clothes and stuff. Riley had grabbed Tegan as she arrived home just as Riley was leaving. And no, Riley had not used her vamp mojo to make Tegan come.

"Well, you do that then but I really have to see if this place has a book I've been looking for, for ages." Tegan told her, as she chewed on her lower lip and looked around to see if she could see a place that sold old books. She was sure she'd find one, she just had to look. It had been a while since she had been there and she was not a big fan of shopping. Oh, big shock.

"All right. We'll meet back in an hour by that bench. Is that okay?" Riley asked her, smiling like always as she pointed at a lonely bench which had probably seen better days in the past.

"Sure." Tegan told her, as she had already started to wander towards where she thought were some books on sale. After some looking around, asking and digging around she found it. It had both taken longer that she thought, but also been easier than she thought to locate. She really should come here more often, there were so many cute and funny things around here. Definitely a charm that supermarkets and malls were lacking.

She looked at her watch and saw that it was almost an hour, and she started towards the sad looking bench where they had meant to meet up, and walked past a young man with slightly wavy brown hair and eyes that made a cold chill run down her spine. It might just have been the wind, but today had been really good so far and she had on a sweater and a jacket over a shirt, so how a gust could get to her spine was a mystery.

She walked past him and tried to be friendly by smiling at him, but his eyes caught her and she felt a bit dizzy. She hoped she wasn't coming down with something because that would really suck. She hated how her body only seemed to break down on her when she was doing something not related to work. she never used her sick days for actually being sick and so she didn't really use them at all.

Her last one hundred percent clear thought is not to drop the bag that has the book. If she drops it, someone might steal it and she was not going on another hunt to look for that damn book. She was not letting go of her damn bag, even as she felt herself being pulled into an alley and her mind started remembering things from horror movies and teen slasher flicks. Great, she was going to get killed by some hot nut job and here she was obsessed with loosing her book. Shows how much she had grown up since she was a kid, or not. Still the same old bookworm.

Later:

"So, who's the trollop?" Kit asked Riley, as he walked beside Riley and Tegan as they made their way home. Tegan looked at him with shocked eyes. Who was he calling a trollop, they were not dressed like sluts and how would he know about either of their sex lives. She had thought he was kinda nice and hot, but with that comment she wasn't sure she liked him at all.

"Kit, don't call her a trollop. We'll discuss this later, but now we have to go home." Riley told Kit, and he could see it in her eyes that she wished that a stake in the heart actually killed them. But mostly she wished she had something sharp, so she could chop of his head. She didn't tell him where they lived because since he knew she was in town, he could find her on his own.
