I am continuing with the brilliance that is Life on Mars and have finished ep 7 of Series 1. I have to say, LoM really is one of the most original, mind-bending, awesome shows in ever. And hey, it can make me laugh so hard that I have to pause the ep, and sniffle like a ten year old.

Oh, I LOVED Blackpool. And I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but State of Play is awesome: John Simm AND James McAvoy.

Yes, you must! I absolutely adore 'State of Play.' :) Terrific cast, and (mostly) terrific writing.

Totally not having seen the series, I'm wondering whether Annie has any similarities to his gf (I rather assume not?) and what that says about his psyche if she was indeed made up rather than a real person.

They are both police women, but other than that, I don't think they have anything in common. (We really didn't see the gf much, and I got the feeling things were rocky between them).

The thing is, this whole world could be made up, but he is in it for so long, he can't help but develop real feelings for people in it.

YOu know how I was saying I really needed to see this, and then I went to Christchurch in the weekend, and walked into a shop, and there it was - the entire first season! I am now a proud owner, and will be watching as soon as possible, so I can squee with you!
