My favorite jdrama actress, Horihita Maki (of Nobuta Wo Produce and Kurosagi fame) is playing the adorable Mizuki, who cross-dresses to go to an all-boys school to be close to her high jump idol Izumi Sano.

I *hem* kinda found out over the weekend but A) didn't know if it was official and B) Didn't know who he'd be(I actually kinda figured Nanba since he's so much older)

Aside from a bit of hesitation since he's almost 10 years older than Sano and the fact that he's...what...6 years older than Maki?...and some actors tend to be uneasy about that when it mean the girl's age still starts in "1"(and HK has bed snuggling scenes...) I'm all for it. When my brain is properly functioning, I suspect I'll be much more squee-like.

Feel better!

I don't mind the age difference as in the manga he always came across as more mature. But we'll see. I am so excited about him being lead, and oppositve Maki, no less, that I am not even functioning properly.

I should be watching more Green Rose but instead I am just wandering around squeeing.

i heard about this a while ago but when i heard it shun wasn't playing sana yet but i am sooooooooo happy that his playing him now.. i think he'll do a good job and maki will do a good job too...

did u know the writer of the manga is helping out in the series.. * yeay!!!!!!!*

yeah i read it somewhere since when people first heard about hana kimi they're like it couldn't be better than the taiwanese version * i think the japanese one would be better* and then i read that the writer is helping out and i was like i am soooooooooo excited about this drama, and i can't wait for it to air

I've been internally freaking out about this since I heard to the point where my friend asked my why I looked so happy :D

I wanted Nishikido Ryo but Shun is just as good (and taller and RUI) F4 has done good. Now Abe Tsuyoshi needs HIS own show .

zomfg isjdlbhsfhlhjber ahh!! I'm so unbelievably excited. I think Maki would make such a great Mizuki!! Ahh!! There was a really big rumor that Ryo Nishikado was going to be Sano (I think he'd be a good Sano) but I totally didn't expect Oguri Shun! That's great news, eeee!!! I don't know much about Toma, but isn't he one of Yamapi's best friends? Also Junpei in Hanadan 2? He gets points from me. Any idea about airing dates? I'm not sure how long my fangirly heart can wait for this!!
