Vewing and reading

I've watched the first two episodes of Samurai Deeper Kyo with Mr. Mousie and it's awesome.

And I finished first ep of ProDai and it's beyond love. And the chemistry! *dies*

*off to enjoy the weather with a copy of Karma Girl, a hilariously off-kilter novel about intrepid girl reporter who uncovers superheroes*

YAY! Glad you're liking it...I was a touch worried because a lot of people who are as far as you are in the manga(still vol 13, right?) don't like it because it's so different...a lot don't get past "they made Kyo all...NICE"(comparatively) and "What's with all the monsters?"

*has always been in love w/ the SDK soundtrack*

It's very good. Actually, the very fact that it's so different from the manga just enables me to see it as sort of 'inspired by' and its own thing (which is why I couldn't really getinto Furuba anime: it was close enough to the manga that the deviations annoyed me).

yup, that's why it's never bothered me...in the first 5 minutes, you know it'll be a completely different thing from the manga, but it keeps most of the themes and the fun. The only problem I've had, as the manga continued, is that you barely get a feel for Akira, Hotaru and Shinrei...at the time of the anime, Akira had only shown up up to the Sea of Trees part, and, frankly, we'd only seen him in a snit about Kyo not being as strong(when he shows up again, he's moved on and is basically "well, at least he's back. that's cool and i can still have fun. and torment the idiot in the bandana.") and Hotaru and Shinrei had only barely shown up. But that's not the anime's fault, as they didn't have much else to go on.

*oh bah, X just killed a character I wanted to live* *sulks*

The chemistry is amazing... it was there when they co-starred in Zakura Dragon when Pi had an earring and his ugliest haircut ever...

I am on ep 3 now and even though it's quite different from the manga, I love it...

After two episodes, I love ProDai!

The chemistry is fantastic! Some non-spoilery caps from my write-up of the second episode :):

Just the way he looks at her is very intense:

And then there's, of course, the bath scene!

Ok, I'll tempt you no further :D. You can view the rest of the screencaps on my Ep. 2 commentary on my LJ *g*.

Yamapi looks really good, but occasionally also very tired and overworked in this. I think he has a bit too many duties to attend to this Spring - I'm getting worried over how tired and thin he's looking in the newest pictures :P.
