The new spring dramas that are airing in Japan right now and the ones I'll be watching in some manner:

Monday @ 9 p.m. Propose Daisakusen starting the 16th of April

Tuesday @ 10 p.m. Sexy Voice & Robo already started on the 10th of April

Wednesday @ 10 p.m. Bambino! starting the 18th of April

Friday @ 9 p.m. Seito Shokun starting the 20th of April

Friday @ 11:10 p.m. Kaete Kita Jikou Keisatsu started the 13th of April

Saturday @ 11:10 p.m. Liar Game started the 14th of April

s-projects.org has a more extensive tv schedule up.

But Propose is going to be subbed by Lovesong definitely, and I think Lily at Jland will attempt to sub it if she's interested in it past the premiere episode.

And Seito Shokun is also going to be subbed by fans at d-addicts.

is another live action manga adaptation. The manga's currently unfinished due to either a fallout between the mangaka and the publishing house or the mangaka having a case of writer's block. Talking about the drama now: it centers around a 14 year old school girl who's become tired of being a part of the Japanese rat race, and is searching for something meaningful, or at least something *interesting*. She has the talent of voices and the ability of a pure ear that can remember voices. She witnesses a horrific act of violence one day and disturbed, realizes she needs to tell someone, but who? She settles on calling a lonely hearts line and tells her secret (in a hilariously coy baby doll 'sexy' voice) to a otaku, who instead of hearing about a cute girl's day, is an unwitting accessory to a crime! The otaku is a 20 something salary man who basically has the social skills of an adolescent boy, and is obsessed with anime and robots. Now where anywhere else you might think: uh oh, social misfit with possibly skeevy, child-molesting
